While the bus was coming, I remember that there was a lady, and I, in order to make conversation and practice my English, I thought of telling her: <\/p><p>&#8211; Its a bit chilly.<\/p><p>The lady looked at me and with a smile from ear to ear said:<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row section vc_row-fluid \"><div class=\" full_section_inner clearfix\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><blockquote class=\" with_quote_icon\"><h5 class=\"blockquote-text\">&#8211; There is not such thing, there is just inappropriate clothing.<br>(In Scotland it is not cold, just inadequate clothing).<\/h5><\/blockquote><div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>I was dead.<\/p><p>The fact is that I have never forgotten it, in fact the nice lady was absolutely right!<\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_empty_space\"> <\/div><div class=\"separator normal \"> <\/div><div class=\"vc_empty_space\"> <\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p><strong>And<\/strong> if you think about it, <strong>not being cold in Scotland is easy<\/strong>, as the lady said: <strong>you just have to wear the right clothes<\/strong>.<\/p><p>In this post I will help you to know <strong>what to bring when you come to Scotland<\/strong> so that what happened to me doesn&#8217;t happen to you. But first, let&#8217;s learn a little about the <strong>Scottish weather.<\/strong> <\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_empty_space\"> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row section vc_row-fluid \"><div class=\" full_section_inner clearfix\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h2>The weather in Scotland<\/h2><hr><p>One thing the Scots don&#8217;t lack is a sense of humor, and thank goodness&#8230; They love to make jokes and jokes about the weather. Then add or subtract layers, depending on the season or how cold you are. It&#8217;s as simple as that.  <\/h5><\/blockquote><div class=\"vc_empty_space\"> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row section vc_row-fluid \"><div class=\" full_section_inner clearfix\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h2>What clothes to bring to Scotland?<\/h2><hr><p>Although temperatures are very similar throughout the year. Staying dry will be your priority.   <\/p><p>For me, the following selection of months are very similar in terms of temperature and climate:<\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_empty_space\"> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row section vc_row-fluid \"><div class=\" full_section_inner clearfix\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"vc_empty_space\"> <\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h4>December &#8211; January &#8211; February &#8211; March<\/h4><\/div><\/div><div class=\"separator normal \"> <\/div><div class=\"vc_empty_space\"> <\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>During these months it is <strong>cold<\/strong>, but less than in Patagonia Argentina or Burgos. In other words, wrap up warm, but temperatures in Scotland are not excessively low, ranging from 0\u00b0C to 7\u00b0C. The humidity causes the wind chill to be lower.  <\/p><p>In Edinburgh the minimums I have experienced have been a wind chill of -6\u00b0C. If you travel to the Highlands you won&#8217;t find -20\u00b0C either (unless you happen to climb a mountain, there the climate here would be different). <\/p><h3>&#8211; <strong>Coat<\/strong><\/h3><p>The warmest one you have! It&#8217;s important that it has a hood. Others prefer to have a coat and raincoat or raincoat separately and wear it on top. I&#8217;m one of them, so you can wear the raincoat in summer too.  <\/p><h3><strong>&#8211; Gloves, g<\/strong><strong>ear warmers, ear warmers and scarves<\/strong><\/h3><p>During these months do not hesitate to put these warm clothes in your suitcase, everything that helps you protect yourself from the <strong>cold<\/strong>, <strong>humidity<\/strong> and <strong>rain<\/strong> will come in handy.<\/p><p>After spending many hours in the cold as a guide, I recommend that you use <strong>merino wool<\/strong> because it is: <strong>thermal<\/strong>, <strong>water repellent<\/strong>, <strong>antibacterial<\/strong> (it doesn&#8217;t let your sweat stay on the fabric) and <strong>extremely soft<\/strong>.<\/p><p>I became so fond of merino wool that I learned to knit last winter and opened a small store on Etsy. You can always add something more stylish to your suitcase. <\/p><h3><strong>&#8211; Thick socks and leggings\/tights<\/strong><\/h3><h3><b>&#8211; Comfortable shoes<\/b><\/h3><p><strong>Edinburgh<\/strong> is very hilly and <strong>Glasgow<\/strong> is very large, so I recommend comfortable walking shoes or sneakers or hiking boots. TACONS? no man no. <strong>Edinburgh<\/strong> has to have the world&#8217;s highest rate of ankle sprains.
