I arrived with the idea of staying a few months, and without realizing it, I ended up building my life here, with half my heart in the Scottish Highlands and the other half tapas in Spain.<\/p>

Then Sao arrived, straight from the heat of Madrid. I see him well, he is enjoying his retirement among sheep and forests. <\/em><\/p>

After more than ten years traveling around the country, learning its rhythms, its roads and its landscapes…<\/p>

Something as simple as being able to breathe fresh air on a camping night or a sky full of stars became my favorite vacation. <\/span><\/p>

That’s when I understood that the way you organize a trip completely changes how you experience it.<\/p>

The West Highland Way: the road that changed everything<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The first time I walked the West Highland Way<\/strong> was in 2021<\/strong>.<\/span>
Since then, I try to walk it almost every year<\/strong>, because every time it teaches me something different: about the pace, about the mountain and about myself.<\/span><\/p>

Walking several days in a row in Scotland is not just about scenery.<\/span><\/p>

It’s about moving step by step, being present and letting the road set the pace.<\/span><\/p>

Eventually, that experience ceased to be mine alone.<\/span><\/p>
